History

CND Nursery cc (Central Nursery Depot) was the brain child of Andy De Wet and Arthur Nash and started trading in April 1992, mainly acting as a depot for small and distant growers.

Arthur was the resourceful Managing Partner and targeted the landscape industry, the two friends soon turned CND into a respected player in the industry.

Arthur retired to the Natal South Coast and by then Andy started growing more of CND’s own stock.

Charmaine Erlank, who had been working for Andy since 1988  became the Nursery Manager, stock requirements grew, and in 2005 a growing farm was acquired and christened “The Aloe Farm” as we also needed a home for our plant breeding.  Today CND Nursery supplies most landscapers and the public in Gauteng with quality home-grown stock, or carefully sourced plants from many different select growers.

CND has also become a launch pad for our many newly created and exciting plants such as the Aloe ‘Hedgehog’ and Agapanthus ‘Blue Ice’
