Sagina subulata is a delicate, moss-like evergreen groundcover that forms a dense, low-growing carpet of bright green foliage. During the flowering season, it produces small white, star-shaped flowers that sit just above the foliage, creating a charming, natural-looking display. It is an excellent choice for pathways, rockeries, between stepping stones, borders and containers. Sagina subulata grows well in full sun to partial shade and performs best in fertile, well-drained soil that retains some moisture. Regular watering will help maintain its lush appearance, particularly during warmer and drier periods. Its very low growth habit makes it ideal where a soft, carpet-like finish is required.
