Anthericum saundersii var is an attractive indigenous South African perennial with fine, grass-like foliage and a neat, clumping growth habit. It produces delicate white, star-shaped flowers on slender stems, creating an elegant display above the foliage. This versatile plant works beautifully in borders, mass planting, groundcover and indigenous garden designs. Anthericum saundersii var grows well in full sun to partial shade and performs best in fertile, well-drained soil. Add compost or other organic matter when planting to encourage healthy growth and flowering.
