Chlorophytum bowkerii is an attractive indigenous South African perennial valued for its broad, arching green foliage and neat clumping growth habit. Its graceful leaves add texture and structure to the garden, while its delicate white flowers provide seasonal interest. It is an excellent choice for borders, containers, shaded garden areas, mass planting and indigenous landscaping. Chlorophytum bowkerii grows well in partial shade to full sun and performs best in fertile, well-drained soil. Add compost or other organic matter when planting to encourage healthy growth. Regular watering during establishment will help the plant develop a strong, healthy clump. Looking for indigenous plants or shade plants near me?
