Phormium rainbow maiden is a striking evergreen ornamental perennial known for its colourful, arching sword-shaped foliage. Its leaves display attractive salmon-pink, pink and bronze tones, with the colouring creating a vibrant, layered effect throughout the year. Its compact, clumping habit makes it an excellent choice for borders, containers, feature planting and contemporary landscaping. Phormium rainbow maiden grows well in full sun to partial shade and performs best in fertile, well-drained soil. A sunny position helps bring out the intensity of its foliage colours, while adding compost or other organic matter when planting encourages strong, healthy growth. Its architectural form provides year-round structure and colour. Looking for colourful foliage plants or ornamental perennials near me?
