Phormium Tenax Rubra is a striking evergreen ornamental perennial valued for its bold, sword-shaped foliage in rich red, bronze and burgundy tones. Its upright, architectural form adds height, colour and structure to garden beds, making it an excellent choice for borders, containers, feature planting and contemporary landscaping. Phormium Tenax Rubra grows well in full sun to partial shade and performs best in fertile, well-drained soil. A sunny position helps bring out the intensity of its foliage colour, while adding compost or other organic matter when planting encourages strong, healthy growth. Its evergreen foliage provides year-round interest with relatively little maintenance. Looking for red foliage plants or ornamental perennials near me?
