Pennisetum setaceum rubrum is a striking ornamental grass known for its dramatic burgundy-purple foliage and graceful, arching growth habit. It produces attractive purple to burgundy bottlebrush flower plumes, creating a bold display of colour and movement. Its rich foliage makes it an excellent feature plant for borders, containers, mass planting and landscaping projects. Pennisetum setaceum rubrum grows best in full sun and performs well in fertile, well-drained soil. Add compost or other organic matter when planting to encourage healthy growth and a strong display.
